The first step is a phone introduction between our team and the potential client to discuss an overview of the project, timeline and budget. We chat about our process and then share our investment guide. If the client is interested in proceeding with the discovery stage, we schedule a one-hour site visit to review the project in further detail, gain a better understanding of the scope, and share additional documentation of our firm and processes. If we enter into a contract, the fee for this time will be applied as a retainer. Otherwise, there is a flat fee charged prior to the visit.

Following the initial meeting and site vision, we'll develop the preliminary scope of work and put together a project proposal and contract. We offer a Welcome Package that further details what our clients can expect during the project.

During this stage, we want to establish the direction of the project. The clients will provide documentation and imagery to help communicate their vision, and we delve into the details by asking them to complete a questionnaire. Once we are at a good jumping-off point, we’ll establish the conceptual direction of the project and further develop the scope. We will take the necessary measurements or acquire existing construction documents to begin the initial schematic plan. Once the conceptual design is complete, it is presented to the client.

Once the concept and schematic drawings are approved by the client, we begin the sourcing and selection process. During this phase, we will create a detailed design package that includes the floor plans, elevations, material and finish selections, samples and the furnishing plan. A Trade Day is scheduled to walk through the project with the contractor and subcontractors to take measurements and answer any questions. We walk through the Design Package with the clients in great detail at the Design Development Presentation. After approval, we will generate a finalized package for the clients with a proposal of all approved selections and prepare an additional design package for the contractor with necessary tear sheets and documentation.

We can begin purchasing the approved selections once the Invoice has been paid. During this stage, our team makes purchases, tracks shipments, and manages the inventory with the receiving warehouse. A date for installation will be established based on the timeline of deliveries and we will make purchases for final styling.

The date we've all been waiting for has finally arrived! The last stage is the installation of furniture, artwork, fixtures, lighting, and so on, as well as styling the spaces for the final walk-through. At this point, we ask our clients to allow us time to have the project professionally photographed for our portfolio, and then we turn over the spaces to be used and enjoyed!
